How it works

VoIP Solution for Call Shops

VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol and means that voice, or sounds are translated into data and sent across an internet connection or network - just like any other file or email you might send. Once the data reaches the other end it is transformed back into its original form and emerges like a regular phone call.

Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) Primus VoIP Call Shop customers receive an Analogue Telephone Adapter (ATA) – which is a simple device that converts regular telephones into VoIP lines.

Connect the Ethernet and phone cable to the ATA, and enable your phones to be used with Primus VoIP. Once the software and hardware are configured, you’ll be ready to start using VoIP in your call shop.

Here's how it works:

Your customer enters a “phone booth” and places a call by dialling the destination number directly. Alternatively – they can use a soft phone client to place calls directly from a PC.

Primus Call Shop software identifies the phone booth and tracks the call details, calculating the corresponding charges. The software can be monitored by the shop attendant via a PC. Upon call completion, the operator presents the caller with a bill for the calls he or she has made according to the rates set by you.
